Description

Come on out to Pasture Pals and get your very own, special serving of quality time with our ambassador farm animals. Have you ever wondered exactly why donkeys have such long ears, how many stomachs does a Billy Goat have, what breed of chickens is considered one of the oldest to America, or why pigs like to roll in the mud? We promise to teach you all about the known history and idiosyncrasies of our ambassador farm animals and a few heritage breeds that call Chippokes home.

Please be warned in-advance that spending time with these animals (to include a donkey, milking devon cow, billy goat, dominique chickens, corn snake, silver rabbit, and pot belly pig) is known to lower blood pressure, decrease stress, and increase dopamine levels.

If you think Pasture Pals is a program for you, please meet us at the Farm & Forestry Museum parking lot. Our programming begins promptly at the scheduled start time, if you don't see us in the pasture, be sure to check the Quayle Classroom where we will conclude with a demonstrative feeding time for our corn snake, Maizey. Gabbi can't wait to meet you!
