Interagency Agreement Between USDA-Forest Service and Environmental Protection Agency

This memorandum of understanding establishes the participation of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in the Chesapeake Bay Program (CBP). It reflects a mutual desire that the capabilities of NOAA in the area of environmental studies contribute to the cleanup of the Chesapeake Bay, further, that State/Federal resource management functions, in such areas as coastal zone and fishery management, benefit from and are coordinated with cleanup activities.

The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is to sanction the wetlands partnership among the Fish and Wildlife Service's (FWS) Chesapeake Bay Field Office (CBFO_ and National Biological Service's (NBS) Patuxent Environmental Science Center (PESC) in the U.S. Department of Interior and the Natural Resources Conservation Service's (NRCS) Wetland Science Institute (WSI) and Maryland State Office (MSO) in the U.S. Department of Agriculture. This MOU provides for coordination of efforts of the NBS and NRCS in serving the scientific needs of resource managers in the Chesapeake Bay Region.

Memorandum of Agreement Between the Tennessee Valley Authority and the U.S. Environmental Protection

This MOA sets forth the basic principles and guidelines under which the parties intend to cooperate in environmental program areas including research, development, and demonstration projects; the exchange of ideas, information, and data; the utilization of laboratories, equipment, and research facilities; emergency preparedness; compliance reporting; environmental auditing; training and education; and other efforts to further the advancement of knowledge in the general area of environmental policy, regulation, compliance, research, development, and demonstration.

Memorandum of Understanding Between the United States Coast Guard, Fifth District and the United Sta

The United State Coast Guard (USCG) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are charged with enforcing and administering a number of laws to protect the environment. Specific agency responsibilities are defined by statute, regulations, and the Federal Region III Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution contingency Plan. Inland, the EPA has the lead for spill response, while, in coastal waters, the USCG has the lead responsibility.
