The Workforce Action Team was established to increase our understanding of workforce-related challenges to achieving Chesapeake Bay Program goals and outcomes.

The Workforce Action Team (WFAT) was established in 2022 in response to increasing interest from the Chesapeake Bay Program in better understanding workforce-related challenges to achieving the program's goals and outcomes. The WFAT supported the development and implementation of a landscape analysis, as well as coordination and collaboration around workforce development and programming.

Published on August 20, 2024This document serves as an instructional guide on the uses and key aspects of the Career Network Map. The Career Network Map is a prototype for a tool that can represent pathways toward green jobs and highlight positions that are aligned with the workforce needs identified by the Chesapeake Bay Program's Goal Implementation Teams (GITs). The map links to some of the training providers identified in the Career and Workforce Programming Database. More work is needed to vet the types of jobs depicted in the tool, to align these jobs with Bay conservation and restoration fields and to test and refine how the tool works.
